plural groups which are classified with the work performance on Stroop test. We performed a Stroop test and the work performance such as number of wrong answers and reaction time was used as factors to classify subjects. We investigated the cerebral blood flow changes of each group. fNIRS was measure the inferior frontal gyrus of the left hemisphere. From view of number of wrong answers, the significant differences of cerebral blood flow were existed. In the present study, we developed a method of estimating UCL based on event-related potentials (ERPs) to auditory stimuli. Eighteen normal hearing adults participated in this study. Three tone bursts (a triplet) of the same frequency (1k, 2k or 3k Hz) were presented to the right or left ear with an interstimulus interval of 300 ms. The sound intensity decreased gradually by 5 dB HL (from 80 to 70 dB HL). An electroencephalogram was recorded from three scalp electrode sites (Cz, C3 and C4). The period of 0-900 ms after the onset of the triplet was transformed to a wavelet coefficient and averaged separately by ear and stimulus frequency. The UCLs were estimated by using linear discriminant analysis. The mean estimation error was 4.9 dB. The subject abandoned the voluntary finger push controlled from 0 N to 2 N immediately after the stop-signal. The delay of the stop-signal from the go-signal (stop-signal delay, SSD) was set from 0 ms to 200 ms. Subjects could stop the finger push in 50 ms SSD, while not in 200 ms SSD. In the task with 50 ms SSD, the negative peak followed by the positive peak in ERP was observed at FCz. The topography of the potential showed that the negative component distributed at fronto-central scalp around 200 ms after the stop-signal. The positive component around 300 ms after the stop-signal distributed in parieto-occipital regions. However, these negative and positive potentials were not observed in the task with 200 ms SSD. The negative component of ERP was supposed to be concerned with the control of the stop-action, and the positive component of ERP was presumed to express the brain activity in the primary visual area processing the visual information of the stop-signal as well as the activity in the parietal association area involved in the visuo-motor this paper, influence of sound environments on performance of the memorizing numerical string task and cerebral blood flow changes are discussed. The task were performed withthree sound environments; silence, noise, and BGM. Inthis experiment, the number of correct answers were considers as the index of task achievement. Simultaneously, cerebral blood flow changes were investigated as physiological evaluation using functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy, fNIRS. As the result, the difference of sound environment makes significantly difference to the task performance and blood flow changes. In the areaof frontal, average of blood flow changes with silencecondition was higher than that with BGM condition. On the other hand, in the area of auditory cortex, the average of blood flow changes with BGM condition was higher than that with silencecondition. Fromthese results, it was concluded that BGM condition makes blood flow change lower compared with the silence condition.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n2.2. As a result, one out of eight novices and one expert showed event-related desynchronization (ERD) at successful putts. Others showed event-related synchronization (ERS) at successful and failure putts. It is inferred that ERD may be related to successful Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT) and the GO\/NOGO task are one of sustained attention performance tasks. However, in these tasks, several different tasks are existed such as auditory and visual stimulus. Since functional brain parts are different with along to auditory and visual stimulus, even the same task, these may react differently with visual and auditory stimulus. In this research, the blood flow of PVT and GO\/NOGO task are experimented, and the differences between visual and auditory stimulus are discussed. In the result, the blood flow of PVT increased in the both sides of temporal region. \u00a0However, the differences between the result of auditory and visual stimulus are small. In this report, we introduce the support vector machine (SVM) to recognize P3 in a single-trial data. Three channels (Fz, Cz, Pz) of EEG were used for training SVM and the evaluation after eliminating the artifacts caused by eye movements and blinks.The data during 0.1-0.6 s period posterior to every stimulus was extracted and used after connected in a sequence or averaged among channels. The ratio of the number of the target trials used for training to that of the non-target trials was varied from 1:1 to 1:3.
