The Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference 2018

GECCO 2018 was held in Kyoto city, at Kyoto Terrsa.Between the 15 th and 19 th July I participated to the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO), which is the premier conference in the area of genetic and evolutionary computation, where latest high quality results in this field are presented from researchers coming from all over the world. At GECCO 2018 both workshop papers and full papers were accepted, as for my case I submitted and get to present my own workshop paper.

  • “Solution Exploration using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm for Determining Experiment Candidate -The case study of extraction of cancer cells in which the transcription factor NRF3 functions”

     L.PERINO ; S.HIWA; T.HIROYASU.

Apart from the beauty of the Conference venue, I really appreciated having the possibility to discuss about my research and Evolutionary computation’s topics with an international community, which is something rare to find here in Japan.Specifically, I received very good feedbacks after my presentation: questions coming from the audience had the credit to highlight the critical aspects of my research, leading to a fruitful discussion which fostered my passion and understanding of the topic involved in my research.
